Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Pre-K students are getting closer to Kindergarten where they will be expected to have a certain level of language skills to keep up with the curriculum. They need to be able to speak clearly, identify letters, know letter sounds, and blend letter sounds as they begin reading.
These games will help develop emergent reading skills for our students in an appropriate and playful way.
The Zingo game is very popular because of it's design. It doesn't just teach content words, but also patience with turn-taking. We are requesting several versions of the game so we can have multiple groups playing simultaneously. We are also requesting books on CD so they can continue to build their love for reading independently or in pairs.
