Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 15 pre-kindergarten students who are full of energy and so eager to learn. My students enjoy hands-on activities and kinesthetic learning, so my goal is to provide them with meaningful learning experiences.

Our school is a Title I campus in San Antonio where many students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

With this current pandemic, I would like to provide my remote students with books that they can read at home, as well as books for my students in class.

My Project

I am requesting these early childhood books so that my students who are learning from home can start their own little book collection. My students who will be learning in the classroom, will also get to have their own personal book set. With this current pandemic, we are really trying to limit the amount of books and manipulatives being shared between the students.

There is something so special about having books that you can call your own.

Students can listen to them over and over again as many times as they would like. My students truly deserve to have these books. These early years build the foundation of creating life long readers and learners and I feel so fortunate to be a part of it.
