My Project
I have been teaching for 15 years. Last year I was moved out of the classroom to be an EIP Teacher. In this role I pulled various small groups (K-5) of students needing extra reading or math support throughout the day. Unfortunately, due to funding limitations my position will be eliminated at the end of the 20204-2025 school year.
I have been blessed to have a position open at the same school in Pre-K.
Therefore, I will be moving to Pre-K for the 2025-2026 School Year. By accepting this position, I will be able to stay at a school I love and continue working with kids, families, and a community I have been with for 10 years.
However, I lack materials to create a classroom environment that is suitable and inviting to this age group. I know this will the first school experience for many of my students and I want to it to fill them with comfort and joy each time they walk in the room. By funding or donating to this project you will help me create a calm environment conducive to learning, inviting for children and their first time in school, and materials necessary to teach basic math and literacy skills daily. I am requesting area rugs, floor pillows, stuffed animals and a calendar bulletin board set.
