Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Please help my students get a Cricut to help them make seasonal bulletin boards to decorate our walls. My students love to help with bulletin boards. I make sure I use my students' artwork each time I change my board. Using the Cricut, my students will be able to create materials for the classroom to display.

We also need a Cricut so I can create learning tools such as flashcards, manipulatives, and visual aids for my students to use.

Cricut machines were designed for crafting and are used mostly at home, however, some teachers have brought their personal Cricuts into schools, and now, more of these machines are being used in the education world. It is becoming a valuable tool for both teachers and students. A couple of my coworkers have a Cricut for their classroom and they have beautiful art displayed all through their room from their students, it is a delight to see. Please fund this project so my students can use the Cricut to create art as well.

Having the Cricut would also enable me to personalize materials and items such as name tags, labels, and rewards. This can help create a sense of ownership and belonging in the classroom.
