My Project

Help us teach our children to cook in the classroom. The benefits of cooking in the classroom over the summer we learned fun ways to incorporate cooking in the classroom for our students and we would like to implement this in our classroom. With learning skills including,

Math:

Cooking activities can teach children basic math concepts like counting, measuring, sequencing, sorting, and fractions.

Language:

Cooking introduces children to new cooking methods and helps them build language skills

Motor skills:

Cooking techniques like pressing, molding, rolling, kneading, stirring, and spreading can help improve motor skills.

Critical thinking:

Cooking can help children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nutrition:

Cooking can help children learn about nutrition and make smarter food choices.

Responsibility:

Cooking can help children learn to accept responsibility by giving them tasks to complete in meal preparation and cleanup.

Life lessons:

Cooking can teach children life lessons like patience, listening to their gut, and that hard work pays off.

School readiness skills:

Cooking can help children develop school readiness skills.

Self-confidence:

Cooking with you can help children build their self-confidence.
