Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I embark on a new adventure with my little Pre-K students, I invite you to participate. My students are part of the Corona, Queens community. My classroom is the second home of children who are English Language Learners, housing-insecure, and from low-income families.
I want to create a classroom that can support their development; social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.
During centers, my students will use the materials to develop their motor skills as they practice tracing their names and numbers. They would use cardboard blocks to construct their designs in the block area. They would explore the STEM materials at the Science Center to develop their critical thinking skills. They would use the manipulative in the Math center to build their measurement and problem-solving skills.
To create a positive and responsive classroom, I need your support. All your donations would go toward my students, who would enjoy all the materials, which would help them to engage in interactive lessons to have a successful learning day at Pre-K.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
