This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school and my students are excited to explore, to learn, and to broaden their horizons just to be given the opportunities that other children take for granted.

My students are sons and daughters of first-generation immigrants who struggle sometimes to find the right path to success but they put forth maximum effort when given the right motivation.

They are unique in the sense that they are high achievers, despite facing the typical immigrant population challenges. Our overwhelming Hispanic population needs support, but, given the right tools, will perform at a high level.

My Project

My students will be asking Alexa in proper Spanish the capital of Argentina and its population. They will be spurred to ask questions about capitals, population, animals and anything we are learning therefore it will spark their natural curiosity and creativity. The speakers will be used to project the sound around the classroom when using music, BrainPop, digital books and other educational websites to enhance the students educational experience. All these sounds are key to practice the Spanish language and make our classroom more interactive and our lessons more lively.
