My students need drawing books for early finishers to practice with.

My Students
I am the school art teacher a small, neighborhood school in Richmond, Virginia. We have a diverse group of learners at our school, but they are all eager to learn more and explore different possibilities with art. The students come from high-poverty, urban homes. Many of their families struggle financially, so often the students are burdened with problems beyond their years. It is my hope to provide the students a safe place where they are able to not only learn and develop their creativity, but also provide a sometimes much needed escape from the day to day.
My Project
My students love drawing all sorts of things from dinosaurs, to princesses, to cars, to shoes. Whenever I have early finishers, I try and give them the opportunity to practice their drawing skills on subjects they love. Having "How to" drawing books on hand would be a great addition to our classroom. These materials can be used in class for early finishers to stay on a drawing task as well as for drawing club and art club meetings as well. Having materials available in a wide variety of subjects is so essential for inspiring a child's creativity, as they are so much more inclined to stay engaged on a topic they are truly interested in.
