This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These practice pads will allow students to be able to practice their drumming skills wherever they are without being a total distraction to others while they are practicing.
Not only do these pads allow for quiet practicing, but it will also teach students the proper technique with the correct amount of rebound from the pad while still maintaining a drum-like feel.
With being a Title I school, families often do not have the ability to afford such things for their students and when they feel the need to practice they will practice on anything they think would sound “cool” leading to distraction of other things that were never meant to be hit with a drumstick.
