Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are special education students who have difficulty learning their letters and forming letters correctly. They are in need of alphabet cards and raised paper to help them learn to read and write their letters. With these items, they will be able to make progress to help them become better readers and writers.
Not everything comes easily to each person, and with these students, they struggle with forming letters.
With the raised paper, they will be able to know where to stop with their letters. Handwriting is such an important part of everyday life and we try our best to help our students become fluent in writing.
There is so much more that goes into writing that we do not even realize. From correct formation of the letters, which helps with placement of our surroundings, to spacing, which allows others to read what has been written, to sky line, midline, grass line, worm line.
All these have to do with our everyday life and will help them throughout their lives.
