My Project
It's difficult to find a cost- friendly piano that actually sounds like a decent instrument. It's even more challenging to budget the cost of a professional sounding electric keyboard with a music budget that depletes very quickly with concerts, music purchasing and more for our program.
The goal of my program is to let our students experience and listen to music in the most authentic way possible.
I plan to use this keyboard to practice songs with my class and to rehearse myself, so I an get better as a pianist and music educator overall.
Additionally, my student lack access to brand new instruments, so this is a feat in itself when it comes to providing my students with the highest quality instruments. We rarely receive grants or any funding towards musical instruments at all. Although we have a variety of smaller instruments, the sound quality is lacking and students are limited by the obvious aging of these instruments.
