My Project
We are going to the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl again this year, and the students are excited to start reading and quizzing each other. I love their enthusiasm when their days are already filled with academics, school activities, and home responsibilities. Most of these students competed last year as well.
This project will give students a chance to circulate books freely among themselves for close reading. They will need to remember lots of details! The buzzers will add verisimilitude to our practice sessions, as buzzers are used at the actual competition.
