My students made the choice to come to our charter school because they love art! Our school focuses on art integration. We use art to help us learn and retain more, and also to have more fun in school! They get so excited when we do art.
Wearing masks, switching from in-person to online, and having more procedures in place with cleanliness has been stressful for myself and my students.
We have been able to work on it together and strengthen our relationships, but it has been a journey.
My Project
The materials in this donors choose will help my students in many ways. It will give them more opportunities to practice math and reading in fun and unique ways, I will use the geo boards, math games, math blocks and shapes, and bean bags to play math games with. It will give us the basic things we need (like plastic paper covers, expo markers, laminating sheets, sticky notes) to practice what we have been learning. It will also give us book sets to use as a class to practice our reading fluency. In this project are also some flexible seating options that will help us feel welcome in the classroom.
These materials will give our classroom new life and renowned excitement for the things we are striving to learn during this unprecedented time.
