This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Practice makes perfect is a term we use so often, repetition is key especially with young learners. The center activities I am requesting will help build key skills my students need to help them retain what they learn.
My students come from various backgrounds, they are between four and five years old and come to school curious and ready to learn.
My school is title one low income families, with many families that come from different countries and don't speak English. Many of the students come from other countries and are experiencing English for the first time. These materials will allow students to learn from one another through active play and those students who are new to the country will be able to learn the new language through play and active engagement.
My Project
The center activities and games I am requesting will help my students practice what is taught in school. Children play to learn, these materials will encourage repetition which is key to learning in young children. They will have fun practicing what we learn in the classroom.
These materials will enable the students to become independent as well as helping them to master important skills they need.
They will practice key math skills as well as science and social studies skills. The best part is they will be learning in a fun way which is important to help keep them motivated by our donations will help my students become masters in the skills they need to move on in the future.
