My Students
Our cheerleaders joined this program not only to have fun but to become exceptional cheer athletes. We need help with tumbling aids. Tumbling is an important component to competitive cheerleading and an advantage for the winnings and for scholarship opportunities.
Our cheerleaders not only cheer; they are LEADERS!
They are respectable, athletic, and well-rounded youth with the Highest GPA's of the school. They also train endlessly to perform and compete in a regional and state cheer competition, support the other school athletics organizations, and represent their school with pride in the community. We are proud to have 25 cheerleaders for the 2017-18 season and are excited for the upcoming year. Our school has a HIGH percentage of students from low-income families. The Title I government funds received solely focus on the academic success of our students; however, many of our students have talents that we, the staff, would like to showcase.
My Project
My athletes will need an air tumble track to improve and the enhance the quality of acrobatics in our cheer program. With competitive cheer rising as a sport, it's important to provide as much quality training as possible. It's important for the athletes to achieve standing and running back handsprings, back tucks, back layouts, and combinations skills.
No competitive cheer team is successful without tumbling skills.
With as much time and dedication placed on being a part of our team, our presentation should reflect as such. We've made do with available materials to produce a decent tumbling training. We could surely use this air tumble track to increase our team tumbling percentage from 40% to 90%.
