Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each day my students come to school eager to learn new things. What better way to learn than through fun activities and play? These resources will allow me to provide my students with additional resources to help them practice the skills they will learn throughout the school year during whole group and especially small group instruction. The resources will be various math games, science activities and literacy games.

My students absolutely love hands-on activities.

This is how I plan on incorporating the resources from Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) that will target needed skills in math, literacy and science. My students enjoy using play-doh TPT offers many center activities for instance play doh mats to help my students learn and present numbers as well as letters. They also have printable worksheets that can help my students practice skills in both math and literacy. I'm a firm believer that science should be hands-on the majority of the time. TPT has resources that will allow my students to do hands-on activities, like sorting living and nonliving things. For literacy, my goal is to help my students become better readers. TPT has literacy center activities that target the necessary skills to help them become better readers, like letter/sound recognition, sight word recognition, tracing worksheets and so much more!

With these resources my students will have hands-on fun, all while building the skills and confidence, they need to be successful throughout the school year. Last school year my students made progress using"the free TPT resources help me provide my students with the additional resources they'll need throughout the school year to be successful in kindergarten and beyond.
