Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Music education and technology are constantly evolving in the world today. Content creation is one of the biggest avenues of media technology, whether it is through music production, video editing, or podcasting, and that's just to name a few.
The music program at our middle school in Hartford, Connecticut is in the process of blooming into a fully functional program.
This program offers a couple of performance-based avenues such as learning contemporary music instruments (piano, guitar, drum set, etc.), drumline, and choir.
By acquiring the laptops and charging station requested, this will allow my program to offer an avenue for students whose interests stem towards the technological interests mentioned above. Currently, there is no student access to laptops in this music class.
The laptops requested will be used primarily for media production via the following programs: Bandlab, Soundtrap, CapCut, and Clipchamp. These programs are very user friendly to beginners who want to explore the world of music production, and other forms of content creation. Please help provide my students the tools needed to acquire practical skills that will help them with their overall confidence, and ability to advocate and express themselves through music technology.
