Help me give my students the ability to learn the responsibility of having children during the health portion of their education with these electronic babies.
My students are from a small town and a small school system. They range from eighth grade to seniors in high school. The majority of my students have grown up together and are very close. They spend their spare time working with their family on ranches or in a local gas station.
They are very active in their school through sports, BPA, and the National Honors Society.
They also help with sporting events. Many of the students are looking at going to college in the future. They want to succeed in school.
My Project
Keeping students engaged in health class is not an easy task. Many students believe that everything they need to know in health they already know or can look it up on the Internet or ask a friend.
Hands-on lessons can help with the apathetic demeanor of the students.
With the use of electronic infant simulators, we will be able to help our students understand the responsibility that is required when caring for an infant in a hands-on way.
Instead of the teacher just lecturing to the students or giving them an egg or flour sack, they will be able to have the simulated real-life experience.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
