Powering Robot Dreams for South Charlotte Kids

Help me give my students a robotic hub and parts to practice sumo bots against each other and help JMR compete for years to come with this one purchase. This reduces student club dues in the future.

My Project

Students need hands on robot design and coding to see how they can build future projects and move towards whatever engineering jobs they might reach for in the future. The engagement students have to technology goes through the roof when they can tynker and test to beat their goals.

Currently we have 14 students and one robot in our first year with the program.

Students worked much better in smaller groups after the competition. Adding a second robot unlocks at least double the interaction they'll have AND will let them to compete against each other with sumo robots.

On top of that, getting a robot soon will reduce club dues next year for their Lego League Competition next year and get more students involved in robots and what they're future will look like. This robot will last through multiple seasons and make working with robots attainable to anyone at our school as we move toward the goal of 3 robots and 21 students in in school and after school club builds.
