This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As a teacher in the 'Into the Uverse' summer learning program, I am eager to pixelated and immersed into the world of gaming. To fully engage with the program's theme, I believe having access to a Nintendo NES Classic edition would greatly enhance the experience for the kindergarten and first graders in my classroom. With its iconic retro games and timeless appeal, the NES Classic edition embodies the essence of gaming history. It would not only allow me to teach the students about the roots of modern gaming but also serve as a valuable tool for hands-on learning and exploration. I am confident that integrating the NES Classic into our activities would enrich our understanding of game design, mechanics, and cultural significance along with reading, math, and science! Therefore, I kindly request your support in acquiring a Nintendo NES Classic edition for the 'Into the Uverse' program, for the University Place Pixel Arcade. This will enable me and my students to maximize our learning and enjoyment this summer.
