My Students
Do you bore easily when presenters read presentation slides? What do you do when a presenter fidgets with the computer as they try to advance or go back? Not only is this boring, it demonstrates very poor presentation and speaking skills. Students need the right tools to become expert presenters.
I work in a gifted magnet that services a cross-section of public school children in Los Angeles County.
I teach a group of 34 sixth grade students who love learning and require extensive amounts of material to feed their curiosity. I have very limited funding to purchase technology instructional materials.
My Project
Presentation equipment will help my students become expert presenters. They can look to Steve Jobs and his ability to capture an audience. Necessary tools include a great sound system so the audience can clearly hear the presenter's message, and a wireless presentation tool that frees the presenter to speak about the material rather than "play" with the slides.
Captivating an audience is the key to effective salesmanship.
A person who can sell a product is a person who can communicate a message. My class needs the tools that will enable them to become the communicators of tomorrow.
