This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Ninja Slushie Machine and ingredients will engage students in a hands-on, interactive experience where they can learn about healthy eating, nutrition, and the science behind food choices. By making their own slushies, they will understand how different ingredients provide energy, warmth, and strength, just like a ninja! The activity fosters creativity and teamwork as students collaborate, choose ingredients, and share their creations. It also provides a fun and memorable way to reinforce classroom lessons on health, care, and hunger.
Students will understand the role of various ingredients in keeping their bodies energized and healthy.
Working in groups to create the slushies encourages collaboration and communication.
Students will connect the fun of making slushies to real-world issues like food security, understanding how sharing and caring for others can make a positive impact.
By choosing nutritious ingredients, students will develop healthy habits that they can apply outside of the classroom.
My students are curious, creative, and eager to learn through hands-on experiences. They enjoy working together and are always excited about activities that allow them to explore new ideas. Their diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives make them a vibrant group, and they thrive in environments that blend fun with learning. This project will allow them to connect the classroom lessons to real-world concepts in a way that resonates with their everyday experiences.
