Power Our Learning at School and Home!

Help me give my students an opportunity to share their learning at school with their parents at home. Students need access to playlists to help them stay engaged in learning at school and at home.

My Students

My students are from the small town of Roanoke Rapids, NC located on the North Carolina/Virginia border. These sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students come from a wide variety of ethnic and economic groups. Our school is a Title I and serves a minority population of about 40 percent. About 63 percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our whole middle school will benefit from this project.

In middle school, we are challenged to keep students engaged and families involved.

With this program, we have the opportunity to achieve this goal.

My Project

Our students sometimes struggle to be engaged in a technology-rich world. We need to meet their ever-changing needs by providing new and innovative ways to teach and learn.

Access to PowerMyLearning's Family Playlists® gives our school a multilingual, mobile-friendly homework option to help engage our students at school and at home.

The research-based program has a proven impact on student understanding and social-emotional learning: students using Family Playlists made statistically significant gains in math proficiency equivalent to four additional months of learning. Teachers will have access to over 200 pre-built, standards-aligned playlists across subjects. This would be another way to help our students succeed!
