This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Not having access to an up to date computer leaves my students behind for the 21st Century.
My students are Latino and African Americans who live in a low income neighbor, where they are exposed to many homeless people.
My students attend a public elementary school in South Central Los Angeles. They are very bright students that capable of being successful and motivated, but have limited access to current technology.
My Project
If given the opportunity to have a class laptop my students will be able to improve their word choice in writing, as well as being able to publish their writing pieces in a more professional manner. A classroom laptop will also be beneficial to my students because they will be able to present technology rich power point presentations.
Exposing my students to technology for the 21st Century.
It will also increase their computer knowledge. Computer literary is the new way of the world and will give my students an opportunity to compete in our world.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
