Power Of Positive Thinking

My students need motivational books to teach them the power of positive thinking.

My Students

With our school population of almost 800, 100% of the students are living in apartments. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 85% of our students receiving free lunch. Students have the option to receive free breakfast daily through a program at the school that is open to all students.

Our school has a diverse population of students from various countries who speak a variety of different languages.

Many students will come to our school for the first time and never have learned to speak English.

I have assisted our school in providing a variety of resources such as weekend food bags for students, free eye care and exams, dental screenings, a free food pantry and a clothing closet.

My Project

Students need motivational books that they can read or have a small group talk about sections of the book to build their motivation in the classroom and life.

The power of positive thinking is so important especially for some students that are going through issues at home or at school.

These books will be kept in an office that they will have access to and be able to check out/ borrow when needed. I hope to have a girls group where students can discuss issues and get support from their peers. I hope that these books can help at least one student find the motivation they need.
