My Students

Explaining osmosis to my class is harder than moving solvent molecules through a partially permeable membrane.

Our school is located on the windward side of the island of Oahu, in the state of Hawaii.

The per capita income for the town is $16,089 and nearly 50% of the population is Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. About 75% of students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. The student population is about 92% Hawaiian or Pacific Islander.

My Project

I am trying to do more labs in science. The Inquiry Investigations Learning About Osmosis and Diffusion Lab will be a great additions. The class will learn about the mysterious power of osmosis and diffusion. The lab will simulate a living cell as it absorbs nutrients, eliminates waste, and transports water. The Prepared Slides Set will allow student to observe 24 different microscopic worlds. These prepared slides will result in more microscope activities in class.

Labs are a key part of any science class.

Having both the Osmosis and Diffusion Lab and Prepared Slides Set will allow the class more hands-on real science labs. It will help them understand the awesome power of osmosis and diffusion and the amazing world of the cell.
