My Students
My students are very special at my school. They are special in an awesome way. They are able to walk to and from school through the inner streets of Chicago which is considered to be one of the cities with the highest murder rate. They come to school with their fears and challenges but yet persevere to learn. They show me respect, love and passion to learn each day. They are truly an inspiration to me. They continue to strive for excellence academically, emotionally and physically. My students are also making improvements in social and emotional learning as well. Their most popular sports are volleyball, basketball and dance.
My Project
This project will make a difference to my students' learning and improve their lives by developing character building skills through dance and music. It will be used as a stress reliever and an inspiration to themselves and others.
The mixing board will allow me to extend positive messages out of songs.
In addition, I will be able to delete negative lyrics to popular songs that students listen to. It will allow students to be more conscious of their choice of music. The mixing board also comes with sound effects which makes the music become creative and inspire unique dance moves.
