Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager and ready to learn but we need your support. Some materials at our school are outdated and too rigid for the students I support. With your help these students with disabilities can be exposed to tactile techniques and educational games including math quiz cards, a karaoke machine, power pen sets and other materials that are suitable for their individual needs.
I have one student who is going blind, and I would love to give her access to these braille tools and books.
Some students with ADHD love the fishing game and other educational games to account for their abundance of energy and enthusiasm.
The power pen and assorted books allow students to self-pace and self-track their growth in foundational math and literacy skills. It also helps that these pens make funny noises as the students try their best to answer the questions.
