Power of a Printer

Help me give my students a HP Color Printer so that they can see and share their work with their adults, friends, and teachers who are not in the computer lab.

My Students

I work with five grade levels of curious students who are eager to learn new ways to communicate, research, and share what they know. They are willing to try new techniques, they want to code, and they are proud of what they can do. They are also responsible and take care of the equipment we have.

My Project

A printer in the computer lab would be used daily by the students. Student motivation would increase when they create work knowing they can print their project and share their creation with others. They will be so happy to be able to take their printed work with them to show family members, their homeroom teachers, and their friends.

Students would be so excited to have a working printer in the computer lab!

My students work hard to learn to control a mouse and navigate the keyboard. My students work so hard to create drawings with a mouse, write sentences, and short stories.

I have been able to witness the joy the younger students exhibit when they yell and jump with exhilaration seeing the work on their screen come out of the printer. I want them to feel that joy and pride again. I want them to be able to share their hard work with others. A printer would enable this.
