My students need batteries to power their electronic keyboards.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our outstanding music department serves 300 middle school students in the 6th-8th grades.
We have a large guitar program and want to complement it with several keyboard classes. Adding keyboard into the curriculum allows us to have contemporary music/rock band classes which include the following instrumentation: guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, vocals, and horns.
Students need batteries for the keyboards as powering them up with the adapters is a fire hazard. Using batteries would allow more students to play in the classroom as well as enable them to practice anywhere (outside while working on group assignments, assemblies, etc.)
You will make it possible for my students to make full use of the portability of their instruments. They will be encouraged as well as look forward to practicing.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
