Help me give my students the books that they can read and that are interesting and help them to process life, do interactive posters on and find positive solutions.
Over the last two years with COVID-19 protocols its been really difficult to get books to students they can read in class and at home when we are distant. We only have enough books for one classroom and should the number of kids be higher or someone lose them we instantly have a problem of being able to get materials into the hands of our students. We are a Title 1 School, so being able to reach even our most remote or distant child who may have problems making it to school is important. Kids grow in critical reading and thinking skills as well as find out who they are and be supported. Additionally, using books with positive messages encourages them, help them process the reality of becoming responsible teens, and face the traumas. Reading books and being able to express themselves with posters that show the integration of the messages with who they are and what they are going through is an incredible help to them.
