We planted seeds shortly after we set up the system and were able to harvest two batches of fully grown basil since the start of this whole experience. This basil was sent home with students as we did not unfortunately have a chance to cook with them within our classroom. The students loved helping me plant the seeds, watching them grow, and eventually helping me harvest them.\r\n\r\nThe biggest impact I saw was that it was the first time that I could tell that these students were even given the opportunity to do something like this. I heard from other aides, teachers, etc. that these students have never done something like this in the past and being able to give them this experience, as well as the ongoing experience (we just harvested some parsley yesterday) is something that will help their lives feel more fulfilling and may be something that they can do for employment in the future.\r\n\r\nOverall, it was an amazing experience and having these donated materials really made an impact on my students.","fullyFundedDate":1755714118237,"projectUrl":"project/growing-plants-using-hydroponics/9616621/","projectTitle":"Growing Plants Using Hydroponics","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Burnham","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10185059"},{"teacherId":9340865,"projectId":9774025,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the incredible donation!!
