The three-dimentional (3-D) printer is an amazing tool to for students to learn with hands on learning. They were so excited to open the box (I let them unrwap it) and see what was inside. They learned about design by exploring design websites and they created their own projects. \r\nThis helped them with math (measuring) and brought out their creativity. This is such an amazing resource. \r\n\r\nDonors choose is such an amazing platform - we never would have been able to purchase these amazing items (the 3D printer and supplies). My students have been able to play with math in many ways. Students have been using the tools to create math projects and other art projects, both individually and collaboratively. They have been using the supplies to show their thinking and communicate with others. Students are engaged and having fun demonstrating their learning in new and exciting ways.\r\nStudents were very happy to see the new supplies, puzzles and math tools when they were first delivered. Now that they have had time to use them, they are excited about future projects and activities. We still have yet to implement a project on making catapults to demonstrate student understanding of parabolas and their equations. Thanks to your donation we have successfully done coffee cart for 5 weeks! We baked a variety of baked goods as well as made cold brew coffee and sun tea which our staff loved to receive from us. We planted seeds shortly after we set up the system and were able to harvest two batches of fully grown basil since the start of this whole experience. This basil was sent home with students as we did not unfortunately have a chance to cook with them within our classroom. The students loved helping me plant the seeds, watching them grow, and eventually helping me harvest them.\r\n\r\nThe biggest impact I saw was that it was the first time that I could tell that these students were even given the opportunity to do something like this. Our teacher received a grant from Riding For Focus/Outride/Specialized for the mountain bikes and we have used them and it is time for maintenance and upkeep.
