My students need poster art materials and supplies to create posters that encourage positive social change.

My Students

"You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have." - Maya Angelou. Connections to art masters and real world applications create memorable learning experiences that my students aspire to develop as young artists.

My art classes are made up of weekend fishermen, hunters, and farmers.

These students are a small group of young minds from rural areas in Hawaii. Students strive to manifest their creative thoughts and ideas through various forms of new media. Our students take great pride in everything they create, make, and learn.

My Project

I am requesting poster making materials and supplies that will provide my students with the means to make high quality poster prints. The supplies will allow us to explore ways to conduct multi-color and or multi-image screen prints. Students will dive into the purpose and functions of art and manifest their ideas using printmaking methods. My classes will take a look at historical references on how the visual image persuades the masses, and create a visual message of their own that encourages peace.

The radiant reaction a student generates from pulling their first print is truly priceless.

Students will use their art to communicate visual messages of peace in a finished and polished way. The student posters and the help of your donations will empower students through art.
