Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will be given different real-world scenarios (climate change, COVID cases, Netflix stock, etc) which can be modeled by mathematical functions we have learned over the course of the year. They will be working in groups to create a poster with a graph, table of values, and equation that models the scenario.

The colorful markers, pens, and sharpies will provide them with the necessary supplies to make their posters!

In the end, we will have a gallery walk of the posters! The posters will then be displayed throughout our classroom and in the hallways so that everyone can see the real-world applications of the math we have learned.
