My Students
My students are dedicated and curious students who love to learn how to investigate the world around them! Struggling to work with Covid-19, but still wanting the lab experience of a high school science classroom, these students are great!
Using modern technology to help students who merge from in-person and online on a day-to-day basis, these upgrades to my classroom help the students transition flawlessly from one circumstance to the next.
My Project
The pandemic has drastically changed how we teach in our classrooms, some practice for good, and others were affected negatively. Science Classrooms (especially with the adoption of SEED Standards) have migrated from rote-memorization to hands-on labs, so students can show what they have learned instead of memorizing it.
While the adoption of these standards serves the students better, it has made hands-on learning more difficult as we have been forced to use simulations in place of tactile learning.
With the help of this grant, it will help me to replace old equipment or start using new materials for these standards our school has recently adopted during the rise of Covid-19. I have summarized the different classes/science labs that this particular donation will help with:
