This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have all seen it. Our students are experiencing delays everywhere on this side of the Covid timeline. Our current Pre-K learners were born into a world that was isolated. They grew up stuck indoors with limited social interaction and way too much screen time. The result is overwhelming delays in speech and language comprehension.

I'm asking for materials to support language and literacy growth, including toys and a phoneme set that will transition them from their dependence on tablets back to actual literacy-based learning materials.

We also have a rise in multilingual learners, with the influx of Central and South American migrants. These materials will also support English-language skill development for our multilingual learners.
