Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is made up of 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students in a Title I school of approximately 2000 students. It is a school in an urban setting with limited resources.
Our goal is to improve our environment with positive visual presentations.
My students are in need of positivity! We would like to start with the words and images that we see around our virtual and physical environment.
My Project
The Cricut paper and vinyl will be used to make positive words, posters, and bulletin boards for display in the classroom, hallways, online, and on a student's personal item. The focus will be positive affirmations.
In a post by Mindset of Greatness, it is said that "Your diet is not only what you eat, it's what you watch, what you listen to, what you read, the people you hang around.
Be mindful of the things you put into your body emotionally, spiritually, and physically."
Our focus will be to change our "diet" with our Positivity Project. We will be that "change" that has been called for by so many. Students will choose a positive affirmation for themselves and one to share with others.
