This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As teachers of students with disabilities in a low-income and high-poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with meaningful learning experiences.

The students in my school are smart, engaging, funny, eager to learn, and we believe in collaboration and having a positive learning environment.

My Project

Many of my students have not been in school in over a year. It will be a big adjustment for them to get back in the routine attending in person classes everyday. As we are preparing to enter a new school year and bracing for the new changes. We want to make sure students are ready to head back to the classroom, now that it will be different from remote learning.

These pencils, pens and rubix cubes will serve as incentives to keep my students on task while adjusting to our new normal.

These materials will be used to as incentives for positive behavior, work completion, and doing the best they can in order to be successful.
