My Project
As we approach another school year, I need some help to get my counseling room up and running. A color printer would be the perfect addition in helping our students learn to earn! Through a color printer and a laminator we will create stimulating visuals which will support their behavior in school and also teach our students essential life lessons throughout the way. My goal is for kids to learn about saving and spending money in the real world, which ties into becoming more responsible and independent. We are building a counseling reward station as an incentive for our students, while learning about the importance of financial literacy. My students will earn money for positive social and emotional behaviors.
Financial literacy is so closely related to learning essential life skills, such as becoming more independent and learning responsibility.
Each student can collect the bills (money) as an incentive, save them in their student wallets, and cash them in for a prize on Fridays. They will have a choice to cash in , or keep saving up for a better prize.
