My Project
Our Intermediate students at this academy are a great group of students that respond well to positive reinforcements, such as praise and quarterly award ceremonies. In order to further improve upon their display of expected behaviors, I believe weekly positive school culture incentives will improve their initiation of the expected behaviors in our school building and improve their social interactions with one another. This Positive School Culture Incentives project will be used to reinforce and award their acts of kindness and to encourage students to be Ready, Responsible, and Respectful throughout the entire school building in interacting with all students and adults on a daily basis.
My goal in this project is to support our positive school culture by incentivizing their acts of kindness with motivational bracelets, positive stickers, fidget toys, prizes, and snacks they enjoy eating.
The items requested in this project will be earned on a weekly basis by students who are displaying kindness to their fellow classmates and are fulfilling the 3 R's (Ready, Responsible, and Respectful) as an award to encourage those continued behaviors and to inspire other students to display the 3R's. We know that our students learn best in an environment where they feel safe and are treated well, we want this project to support our positive school culture and climate to support the achievement of our students at my academy.
