This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are respectful and loving and try their best to do math whether that is Geometry, Calculus, or Algebra 2. My students are special because despite a lack of resources they are resilient and creative in their ability to showcase their work via projects, interactive notebooks/binders, and presentations.
My students are planning a math carnival for the school to help with the state exam in May.
To help build a positive, school climate and create an environment where it is fun and accepted to solve math problems, we are hoping you can help fund a popcorn machine for our event. The popcorn will be used as an incentive for participants to visit booths and earn tickets. All participants will be able to earn a ticket for playing a game. If they are unable to solve the math problem, they will receive help from the booth operator.
