My Project

Young children have not yet acquired the intrinsic motivation needed to always make good choices, so they often look for extrinsic motivators. This project will be used to provide those extrinsic incentives that students may choose in our PBIS Gator Chomp Shop each month. We are a Title I low-income school with no extra funds to support our positive behavior program. All students will be able to earn Gator tickets on a daily basis by following Gator Way positive behavior expectations. Students may use these tickets in the Gator Chomp Shop to choose from an assortment of items that support their learning. These items include materials for STEM activities, literacy items, school supplies, games, emotional support items such as fidgets, and art supplies.

By using gator-themed reward tickets, we can create an environment where students feel seen, supported, and motivated to make positive choices.
