Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love positive reinforcement whether through positive words and extra points. What motivates them even more are stickers, stamps and stickers. I usually give them a big star or check mark in their math notebook when I check their work, but they would really appreciate stamps or stickers.
My students ask for stickers they can collect and put on their math notebooks as badges of recognition.
I would love to see my students work harder when they know they are being seen. They work hard when I reward them with praise, but I foresee that will work more efficiently and quickly when they know there are bigger rewards especially snacks.
