My Students
My students entered the classroom each day full of excitement, smiles on their faces, and positive attitudes that are ready to learn. I ask my students, “Who is awesome?” and they answer, “We are awesome!” This year, the sixth grade students are focusing on positive mindset.
I teach at a Title I school in Cleveland, Ohio.
Many of our students qualify for free or reduced breakfast and lunch. Currently, our school provides all supplies for our students. Our students want to learn and be successful.
My Project
I am requesting new supplies for our sixth grade classrooms. Our goal as teachers is to keep our classrooms clean, engaging, and effective so that students are best able to learn. In the mist of flu season our classrooms are in need of cleaning supplies to battle to bugs! It is important for students to be present in class to further their learning. Hand sanitizer and Lysol spray will help keep our rooms clean.
Often times we find that throughout the day students struggle with attention and focus as they become more hungry.
Many students come to school without eating breakfast and don’t bring a lunch. Knowing that their is a snack awaiting them if needed will give them a peace of mind.
Included in our list is a printer. Having a printer in the classroom is very much so a luxury. A printer will be helpful in printing absent work, study guides, and other documents that will benefit the kids.
These supplies will make our classrooms a fun and safe place. Students are our first priority!
