Hello donors, I would like to introduce you to my students. We are a group of people (my students and I) who believe there are no limits to what we can do. However, learning for us can sometimes be a challenge. We come from low income family situations that present us with some barriers that make it difficult to learn. Some of the barriers we face are limited food, lack of basic resources in our homes, access to the latest technology, and limited time with parents.
The challenges we face at home are often carried into the school setting, making our ceiling of NO LIMITS seem like its falling in on us.
We desire to have a smooth running classroom with all the resources that our families can't provide. We love learning and hope this school year will us with new adventures through technology.
Calling on a new classroom rug! A rug of 14 years has taught many students to read and write. It has also given students a place to dance, sing, and play. While it has taken the thousand steps like a champ, its time for it to retire. It has stains that we can't remove and edges that can't be fixed.
We are calling upon a new classroom rug to carry on the joys of learning.
The rug will be the center of the learning environment, where we meet as a learn as a family. We will practice reading, writing, learning about each other, and of course singing and dancing.
