Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is Title One and is located in a predominately Hispanic area. My students are faced with many obstacles both in and out of the classroom. Despite all the obstacles they face, their parents are very supportive and willing to help make a change.
My students love school.
They are eager to get their hands-on their next learning adventure. They are willing and able to try just about anything related to their learning. They love to discuss things that they learn about and the books that they read with us during morning meeting. More importantly, my students want to be loved and to belong. My goal is to show them that they matter in a world this big and that they are destined for greatness.

My Project
I have a few students who like to fidget or move while they work, and regular chairs don't allow them to do that. Wobble chairs will allow them to move around while they learn. Wobble chairs will give my kids a different way to deal with energy or even some anxiety they're having in their lives. My hope is that it helps my students academically. I hope that my students who struggle to stay seated, in the past, will be less compelled to roam around with these chairs as an option. Also, these stress prizes and pencils will also help motivate learning in our classroom. Classroom prizes are a fun way to create incentives for learning and student engagement.
