This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will help me award my students for positive behaviors, academic growth - as well as meeting our school standards of being courteous, committed, helpful and safe. In my class we use PBIS - a positive behavior rewards system in which I can give students prizes such as stickers, candy, fidgets etc. when they show behavior I want exemplified, amplified, and make improvements. I have found such a better increase in student input, work, and behavior when students get basic simple rewards. Having a variety of rewards allows student choice to receive the type of prize they want.
