My Students
Our school is an urban charter school with 550 amazing students grades K-8 who are passionate about learning and their community. This "community of learners" passion emanates the halls of our campus, with students collaborating with each other, staff members, and community partners to achieve amazing things.
Our students feel empowered to create, explore and take chances; the three most important aspects of true learning.
Our students are encouraged to find that which matters most to them and then work tirelessly to earn it, preserve it, and share it with the world.
My Project
Our school has recently introduced a positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) initiative to serve as an evidence-based prevention and intervention framework for establishing positive student behavior expectations, providing dedicated instruction to meet those expectations, rewarding positive behavior choices, and supporting overall academic, social, emotional, and behavioral competencies of every student.
This school store will be an awesome addition to our student-centered menu of positive behavior supports; rewarding those students who are positively contributing to our school climate based on respect, achievement, and inclusivity.
Students will earn reward tickets for positive behavior that can be redeemed for snacks, school supplies, and other desired incentives.
