Help me give my students reinforcement for positive behaviors. PBIS Rewards software is a school-wide program that will provide a system of tracking and rewarding the positive behaviors that are necessary for success in education and careers.
Our middle school is comprised of 650 students. We are revising our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) program to teach and encourage positive behaviors. Our staff sees the hard work our students put in and the kind hearted deeds that they do each day. It is important that these behaviors are recognized.
The software we would like to purchase will give our students motivation to grow their positive behaviors.
The focus is set around our PROUD motto with actions promoting positive, respectful, ownership, understanding and dependable attitudes.
My Project
PBIS Rewards software allows each student to manage their own account of achievements and rewards. In the past we have used a school bucks system where students are given a TMS buck to acknowledge the behaviors that go above and beyond our expectations. We are expanding on this system with a marketplace of rewards and increased recognition. We believe that a higher level of reinforcement between our current system, new lessons, and new rewards will help students achieve more.
This software will keep the motivation going for our students throughout the year as we continuously highlight their achievements and update rewards.
The PBIS Rewards software will provide each student with an account to track points that they earn for demonstrating positive behaviors and going above and beyond our expectations. Students can manage their points and redeem them for rewards in a marketplace that will also be accessible through the software. We will display a leadership board of top ranking students as well.
