Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are an incredible group of learners who bring so much energy, heart, and potential into our classroom every day. What makes them special is their resilience—they face challenges in and out of school, yet continue to show up with determination and curiosity. Many of my students thrive in structured environments where they feel recognized and supported, and they respond especially well to positive reinforcement. Their kindness, creativity, and willingness to grow are what inspire me as an educator.
Through this project, I’m requesting a variety of items—small prizes like fidget toys, stickers, and fun activities—to stock our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) reward system.
These items may seem simple, but they have a powerful impact. They help students stay motivated, feel acknowledged for their efforts, and make the connection between positive behavior and personal success. The PBIS system encourages habits like responsibility, respect, teamwork, and perseverance—skills that support both academic learning and lifelong growth.
My goal for this project is to maintain a consistent, engaging reward system that reinforces the behaviors we want to see in our school community. With a well-stocked rewards store, students will be more likely to stay focused, make kind choices, and take ownership of their actions. Your support will help us create a classroom culture where positivity is celebrated, effort is rewarded, and every student feels like their growth matters.
